Every day counts at Onepoto School. We do not want tamariki | children to miss out on vital learning because of illness or for another reason, however we know that at times learning must occur away from the school setting. Distance learning will occur if:
- a child has complex medical conditions
- if a child has to isolate because of illness such as measles, or Covid-19
- we have to close the school (for example, due to a weather event)
- staff are ill and we are unable to find suitable relievers
- Unforseen circumstances have occured
Communication is important during these times. If your child is away from school, you must contact the school office on (09) 480 7469. Letting us know in advance will help us to support you.
If the school is to shut we will communicate with you using this website or the school facebook page. You will be contacted using email or you may be phoned directly.
