There are 14 staff members at Onepoto - we work well together as a team to give our students the best learning experiences we can.
PrincipalAllan Hoskins
This is the 19th year that I have been Principal at Onepoto.School. It is a great place to work with fantastic children, staff, Board of Trustees members and community. We are all very committed to ensuring that Onepoto School continues to flourish and grow in an exciting manner.
Out of school I enjoy my family which includes spending time with my five grandchildren, travel, gardening and sport (especially rugby league, cricket and golf).
Deputy PrincipalMarc Dombroski
For those who don't know me, I'm the leader of the senior part of the school which includes Year 4-6 children.
Apart from my job my interests are my family, playing guitar and any opportunity to read a good book.
Here I am keeping fit and 'King of the Hill' with my family!
Assistant PrincipalFay Norman

I have had the privilege of teaching at Onepoto for the past 23 years and over that time have had the opportunity to meet and work alongside many wonderful teachers, pupils and their families.
I am the Assistant Principal and as well as having my own class. My role entails releasing all of the teachers for different purposes so I get to work with all of our tamariki each week. I also spend three days with Room 5 and have the role of SENCO.
As you can see I do not have any time to get bored.
TeacherPamela Bhika
I have been a teacher at Onepoto Primary since July 2005. I currently teach a Year 4/5 class in Room 2.
My other passions are my family, keeping fit, socialising, reading and visiting new places.
I enjoy teaching the wonderful children at Onepoto Primary and working within a supportive school environment.
TeacherAnn Pethybridge
I started teaching at Onepoto at the beginning of 2008. This year I am teaching Year 2/3 students in Room 5 on Mondays and Tuesdays and looking after my 1 year old son the rest of the week. I have a passion for literacy and hope to encourage a love of reading in my pupils that will stay with them into adulthood.
In my spare time I love to spend time with my family. I also enjoy photography, sewing, ballet and mountain biking.

I have been teaching at Onepoto School for many years now and am currently teaching the Year One class. I really enjoy the challenges that teaching gives and Onepoto is a wonderful environment to work in.
I have a number of interests outside teaching which include reading, keeping fit, cooking, eating and travelling to different countries and places within New Zealand.
TeacherArmen ValesyanI have been teaching at Onepoto since 2007. This is the kind of school where dreams come true. I enjoy seeing how the children become more thoughtful and confident in everything they do. In 2012 I am working with Year 3 and 4 students in the Senior Syndicate. I am also the School Sports Coordinator.
Reading Recovery/Homework Support TeacherAnnette Coker
I have been a teacher at Onepoto since 2007. I enjoy a varied role within the school.
From 9 am -12 noon I take Reading Recovery, which is an early literacy intervention designed to reduce the incidence of reading difficulties in children at age six.
Then from 3 pm - 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday, I take Homework Study Support in the library. This a complete change from my morning role and allows me to engage with the year 5 & 6 senior children.
Outside of school I am kept busy with my two grown up children, family and pets. I also enjoy movies, crafts, sailing and travelling.
SecretaryRobyn BrockI have been school secretary at Onepoto for 17 years. I enjoy my varied role at the school, being the first point of contact for our parents, community and children. The "family" nature of our school makes this an enjoyable and rewarding job. I have three grown-up sons, one of whom is currently overseas. I enjoy travelling, gardening, reading and sewing.
Caretaker/CleanerSpeedy KalopotamaI have been the school caretaker/cleaner for the past eleven years, enjoying my varied role and working with the friendly team at Onepoto. I live in the local area and know our community well. I take pride in my work and like to keep the school looking its best at all times.
LibrarianSally WarburtonI have been privileged to be the librarian at Onepoto for the past 10 years. I love spending time with the children, and encouraging their interest in reading. I am a mum to two teenage children and in my spare time I love to read and do needlework.
Teacher Aide/CleanerStephanie Taniora
I have worked at Onepoto for 3 years and have enjoyed both my roles as Teacher Aide and Cleaner. I take pride in my work and I love the "family" atmosphere at this school. I have a pre-school daughter who keeps me very busy. In my spare time I enjoy reading and catching up with my family.
Teacher AideMaria KoniaI joined the "Onepoto Whanau" in March 2010 after being a teacher aide at both at Takapuna Primary and Takapuna Intermediate Schools. I have discovered this school is full of amazing talent and so look forward to seeing our beautiful tamariki blossom.
Teacher AideSala Alona-EvaroaI am pleased to be back as a teacher aide assisting in the classrooms throughout the school. I am looking forward to working with the Pasifika children when they practice their items for the Cultural Festival.
