Emma Alona

Board member

My name is Emma Alona.  I am forty one years old.  I am a mother of three, Daenera, Huriata and Kovmanuel.

My family is from Niue Island.

I have lived in Cadness Street for many years.  I attended Onepoto Primary, Northcote Intermediate and Northcote College.

I have a lot of knowledge about Onepoto School as I have lived in the community for more than twenty five years.

I have previous experience on the Board of Trustees at Northcote Intermediate in 2010.

In the last six years I was a Health Care Assistant at Northbridge Residential Home and now I am a Health Care Co-Ordinator at Northbridge Hospital.

I would like to be a part of the Board of Trustees at Onepoto Primary School because I would like to help any pupils or families in any way I can and being involved in the school in any activities and upcoming events in the near by future.

Ioana Pereira

Board member

Hi my name is Ioana Pereira.  I have been living in Northcote for nine years now and my family loves being part of the Northcote Community.  Part of it comes from the people we know and now feel like they are part of our family.

I love helping people whenever I can and also help out at the school.  I help out with the breakfast club, parent help on trips, help out with fundraising and am a parent representative on the PB4L committee.  I am able to do this with the help of my partner Damon Hohaia.  Together we have six kids.  Four of our older children are already at Onepoto and our youngest will be joining next year.

I’ve been on the Board of Trustees for a year now and I’ve learnt so much from the people that I have worked with.  Hopefully I get the chance to do it again this year and am able to work alongside some really good people that want the same thing as us, which is to see that our kids and our school become the best there could be.

Tania Te Rauna

Board member

I am a mother of four, and have been actively involved in Onepoto School for five years, including serving on the Board of Trustees for the last three years.

I am passionate about the welfare of our children, whanau and school.  Currently I volunteer with the Breakfast Club, Pasifika and whenever parent help is needed at the school.

I am keen to continue giving my support to the school through being a member of your Board of Trustees.
